About Climberoo
Climberoo is a reference for kids' play equipment: swing sets, playhouses, climbers, wagons, ride-ons and indoor climbing gear. It compares them on the figures their makers publish, cited to the page each came from, with a dated check of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's recall database on every product.
What the site covers
Climberoo covers the play equipment families buy for a yard or a playroom: wooden and metal swing sets, playhouses, climbing domes, sandboxes and water tables, wagons and ride-on toys, Pikler triangles, climbing arches and learning towers. The site currently lists 115 products in 10 categories from 20 makers.
Every figure on a product page comes from the maker's own website or manual and links to it. Where a figure is not on the maker pages we cite, we leave it out rather than estimate it. Ages, weight limits, user counts, play areas and supervision notes are the maker's ratings, and the page says so.
What the site does not do
- We have not bought, assembled or tested the products listed here. The pages compare what the makers publish.
- We do not score products or rank them on quality, and we do not call any product the right one for your child. Where a page puts products in order, the order is one figure their makers publish.
- We give no safety advice of our own. Where a maker states an age range, a limit or a requirement, we quote it and point you to the manual; where we show reference figures for planning a play area, they are the Consumer Product Safety Commission's, cited.
- Everything here is for informational purposes only.
